So, it's been a while! For those of you who don't know, I'm not a nurse. I'm actually getting my Master's now. I can't wait to be done with school. I told David the other night, by the time I graduate next December, I will more than likely never be in school again, thank God! My Master's will be in Health Education, and I'm hoping to work in some sort of public health arena.
Since I'm not working right now (I'm slowly going insane), in the little free time I have, I've become crafty. I have all of these ideas, and I absolutely adore Pinterest. I'm obsessed with it and cooking, crafting, and looking at houses.
So, here is my latest 'craft' project. I wouldn't truly call it a craft project, because it took a lot of muscle, time, and effort. My granddad made this dresser for me when I was a little girl, but it really needed to be updated. So, this summer, I took a couple of weeks, sanded it really well, stained it red mahogany, and then put 2 coats of polyurethane on. David helped me pick the knobs out, and I did everything for about $50! Everybody that has seen it is in love with it. It will definitely be used someday, probably as baby furniture, because it's a little small for adult use. But we're both super happy with how it turned out!
